The Loan Closet was founded in 1952 with a walker, cane and wheelchair and served 27 patients that first year. The Loan closet provides free loans of durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and more, with only a minimal refundable deposit. In 2025 alone, 454 patients used 724 pieces of equipment, all managed by dedicated volunteers from the Estes Park Quota Club.

After many years in donated space, the Loan Closet now rents a facility on Manford Avenue, significantly increasing operating costs. To continue offering equipment at no cost, we are asking for community support.  The Loan closet is a non-profit service of Estes Park Quota, whereby durable medical equipment is available to area residents and visitors. Loans are intended to be on a temporary basis, up to 3 months. Items include but are not limited to hospital beds, walkers, toilet risers, canes, crutches, shower chairs, roll-abouts, knee walkers and more. Call to check on availability.
